- Electric chimney is meant to absorb moisture, oil /carbon particle,
fumes and heat generated while cooking.
- It shall be placed near to source, approximately 30 to 34 inches above
the gas stove.

- Traditional Chimney
- Decorative chimney
|
|
5
|
- In a normal room, efficiency of chimney
- supposes to be approx. 85 % to
90%. The
- loss of 10% to 15% occurs due to normal air
- circulation in room. Therefore it is always
- advisable to close windows inside the kitchen
- room while cooking. As there are losses in
- suction, one can make provision of additional
- exhaust fan or ceiling fan or of both.
|
|
6
|
- It is advisable to not to have window above cooking
- area. Window at left is advisable. In India we found
- many kitchens with window above cooking area as
- factor of Vaastu-Shastra and Feng-shui also plays
- role while designing of room.
Chimney can be
- Placed with the help of fabricated brackets even
- though window appears above cooking area. The
- fabricated brackets are made in such fashion that it
- won’t disturbs the outlook of the kitchen.
|
|
7
|
- Normally we put exhaust fan at the corner of room
- or window that is away from source or gas stove
- As compared to electric chimney. Therefore
- Efficiency of suction of exhaust fan is
- approximately 30% to 35%.
|
|
8
|
- Often we found grease around the fan area, tired
- some to clean. Electric chimney is placed near
- the source, contains 2 kind of filtration system,
- efficiency is @ 85%, have 3 levels of speed for
- variety of cooking procedures and easy to
- maintain. Therefore electric chimney is always
- advisable
|
|
9
|
- Speed 1: for suction of moist fumes developed while
- making ‘roti’, vegetables, or by pressure cooker.
- Speed 2: for suction of oil and moist fumes
- developed while making curry or gravy.
- Speed 3: for suction of oil fumes & carbon particles
- developed during deep-frying or roasting etc.
- Overhead Lights: you can see clearly your menu
- while cooking.

- Recycling mode
- Ducting mode

|
- In this mode of operation fumes sucked from
- source passes through the metal and
- charcoal filter, oil and carbon particles are
- filtered and the dry air after filtration is
- allowed pass inside the room again.
|
|
12
|
- In this mode of operation fumes sucked from
- source passes through metal filter and
- thrown out of room in the duct of the
- apartment through PVC pipeline.
- One needs to puncture the wall to take the
- pipeline out. Charcoal filters are not required
- hence lowers maintenance cost.
