2	VASTU-SHASTRA FOR KITCHEN
3	Art or Science. Vaastu Shastra is an ancient art and science. It contains principles and practices of building construction, which ensure a harmony between man and nature and thereby bring all round happiness, health, wealth and prosperity.
4	East It is proved that morning sunlight which comes from east contains Vitamin 'C' and it kills germs if any. Hence Kitchen platform & windows at east and west are meant for healthy air and for good day light. So one may consider it as science!
5	Kitchen Triangle Try to arrange the stove, sink and fridge in a triangular shape. The Kitchen should be in the Southeast corner of the main building or the flat.

7	West Dining table in the kitchen should be in the west or North West side Window at west is also advisable.
8	North- The sink of the platform should be in the northeast corner or should be on north platform towards north east. Drinking water storage should also be made over this platform.
9	South Adjacent to the kitchen platform, another L shaped platform near the south wall can be constructed for keeping micro oven, mixer, grinder etc over it and boxes of grain and heavy storage below it.
10	Color The colors creates the atmosphere and energy. Color of floor and walls should be yellow, orange, rose, chocolate or red, but not black or white as far as possible.
