|
| Q. |
DOES POWDER COATING LAST? IF YES, HOW LONG? |
| A. |
In non-coastal areas under normal conditions, powder coating may last for about 5 to 7 years. But it really depends on the working conditions in the house. Many times housewives prefer to drain remaining water from washed utensils/vessels and then store in the trolley or drawer. This is a right procedure. But if wet utensils or vessels are stored, it may start to rust out specifically at welding joints. In cities like Pune, Nasik, Kolhapur, Hubali, Bangalore powder coating can last for longer time & has demand about 50%. |

| A. |
In Powder Coated Systems, the base consists of wire mesh with spot welding joints. As this is the major portion that comes in contact with utensils & water, it may start to rust after some time. If this portion i.e. the base is replaced Stainless Steel 304 grade that is waterproof and food grade approved raw material, then it becomes economical remedy on Powder Coated Systems. However, Stainless Steel 304 is not acid proof & can rust out if acid, caustic soda, or any non-standard fennel is used to clean the floor. |
